The Healthy Family Community Back To School Expo is a free, one-day community event serving underserved children and families in Chicago’s Grand Crossing neighborhood. The program addresses barriers to healthcare and school readiness by providing free physicals, immunizations, and health and dental screenings.
In addition, we plan to provide backpacks filled with school supplies, along with healthy meals for children and parents attending the event. By bringing essential services and resources into one accessible location, the Expo helps children start the school year healthy, prepared, and supported.
This free event will serve children, parents, and caregivers, many of whom are low-income or uninsured.
Attendees will receive free health and dental services, wellness resources, school supplies, and a healthy meal in a safe and welcoming environment. Our goal is to ensure children are healthy, confident, and ready for the upcoming school year.
