Meet the Founder

Welcome to A Caring Hand Foundation for Pregnant Teens, Inc. Thank you so much for visiting our site. I want to tell you a little bit about myself and the reason this Foundation was created. I once stood in your shoes and I want to assist and guide you in making positive choices for yourself and your baby. When I found out I was pregnant at a young age I felt broken, afraid, and confused. I was depressed and found myself on a downward spiral of hopelessness. It seemed impossible for anything good to come out of my situation. I faced many obstacles being a teen mother.
At a later time in my life, I enrolled in a certified nursing assistant program and received a certificate of completion, and that is where I started on my road to success. I wanted desperately to create a legacy of success for my son and myself and I knew the only way to accomplish this was to get a job and be self-sufficient. My life is living proof of God’s faithfulness; He never gave up on me, and God has not given up on you either. Jeremiah 29:11 says “For I know the plans I have for you says the Lord: They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”

The staff and volunteers at A Caring Hand Foundation for Pregnant Teens care and are here for you too. We want to come alongside you and empower you to continue on the path God has for your life and for the life of your baby. My son graduated with a B.A. Degree and works side by side with me in the foundation. I am married and have mothered three lovely and self-sufficient daughters, who also volunteer in the foundation. I am so grateful for all of the lessons that I have learned along the way.

That is what inspired me to establish A Caring Hand Foundation for Pregnant Teens, Inc. As an effort to share the life skills and biblical principles that I have learned. This is a FAITH based Foundation where we bring restoration in the lives of young mothers to uplift, inspire and encourage young mothers by providing them with all the tools necessary to develop into productive adults. My long term goal for the foundation is to also provide a safe haven for teenage mothers that faces homelessness if they chose to keep their child. In my own life, I applied these principals and found them to be very successful. I thank God for His perfect plan for my life and for His perfect plan for young mothers. Our ability to serve teens, families, schools, and communities depend greatly on donations from people like you. Thank you for your generous support of our work today.

Sincerely,
Connie Harris- Williams/Founder
